Opening Day 2011

Sorry about yesterday guys i had some technical difficulties with my internet but it is all fixed now, and good luck to all baseball fans in the start of the MLB season today. Last night the Miami Heat defeated the Washington Wizards 123-107. The Big 3 combined for 94 points and Jordan Crawford added 38 points for the Wizards in the loss. Also in the NBA, The New Orleans Hornets defeated the Portland Trailblazers 95-91 in the Western Conference Playoff race. Carl Landry led the way for the Hornets with 21 points and Chris Paul added 11 points 12 assists and 4 steals, LaMarcus Aldridge had 25 points and 15 rebounds in the loss. In the NHL, the New Jersey Devils edged the New York Islanders 3-2 in a must win game for the Devils. Kovalchuk had 1 goal and 1 assist for the Devils and Nielsen tallied up 2 goals in the loss for the Islanders.

In other news, Randy Velarde testified in the Barry Bonds trial yesterday stating that Bonds' trainer Greg Anderson sold him steroids. Things are looking worse and worse for Bonds as nearly everyone who steps to the stand seems to make him look more guilty than before. Also, ESPN analyst Jalen Rose admitted and apologized for his BAC being over the limit in a car accident earlier this month. Road conditions were icy and may have been a factor for making his car veer off the road.

What To Watch For/Predictions:
MLB: Tigers Vs. Yankees 1:05 PM (Yankees)
MLB: Brewers Vs. Reds 2:10 PM (Reds)
MLB: Giants Vs. Dodgers 8 PM (Giants)

"Star" of the Day:

The NBA is currently investigating Jay Z's presence in Kentucky's locker room after their victory which gave them a berth to this years Final Four in Houston. NBA rules prohibit team personnel from having contact with players who are not yet draft eligible. Come on Jay Z we know you're a rapper, but the rules still apply.
